~ Acts of Kindness ~

Let me tell you about a kind act shown to me recently.

I was reading one of my favourite blogs ~The Feathered Nest~ where Dawn mentioned about the lovely gift she had received all the way from Australia from Christina of Rustic Tarts and shown in her photos was some beautiful twill tape printed with the word 'Vintage'. I just loved it and I thought maybe I might be able to purchase some too if I knew where to buy it. So I sent an email to Christina asking if she would mind letting me know where it could be purchased and look what I received in the mail ~

~ isn't it beautiful. Not only has she so generously sent me ~ someone she doesn't even know ~ the lovely tape, she has also sent me this gorgeous vintage card and buttons. I just love it. Thank you so much Christina for your kindness.

I have a couple of little finishes to show you. "Two Pinkeeps" is a chart from The Goode Huswife

I am almost finished my September ornament in my stitch-along with Sandra and after several 'changes of mind' I think I am finally starting to get my baby sampler colours together.

I left this out in the hope that the birds might have liked to use it in their nests courtesy of 'my shadow' but so far, there has been no takers.

Oh well, Ben has been very generously shedding lots of it ~ just in case they might like some.

  1. What a wonderful gesture with the vintage tape and buttons. I'm sure you'll put them to good use. Love the two finishes - the colours are devine.

You've got fussy birds your way:) Don't they know what they're missing out on?

  2. What a sweetheart Christina is!!! I'm so glad you have some of the vintage twill tape now too....she will certainly be blessed! Hope you have a great day today, xxoo, Dawn

  3. Hi Christina, The vintage tape is lovely!

I do the same thing with my dog's fur. The birds do use it and swoop it up quickly. I bet they will find it soon :)

  4. Strawberry Blonde looks wonderful, well done on the choice of frame.

  5. Chrissie - have the birds collected any of Ben's hair yet for their nests?? Maybe you are making it too easy for them and they're not used to it!

  6. What a lovely treat it was for you to find me. Thank you for joining in my little give away too. Your stitching projects turned out perfect and are just lovley. And hope those birdies find those generous donations soon too. Very sweet of you. Ok cutie, just running out the door literally, so talk soon, ox Ali

  7. i just finish to stitch this lovely pattern !!!!
